Terms of Service

1. The service
DomainTamer ("we", "the service") monitors internet domains you designate: lifecycle state via RDAP/WHOIS, DNS records, TLS certificates, HTTP availability, TCP ports, and related signals. We notify you through the channels you configure when monitored values change or approach thresholds you set.
2. Monitoring is best-effort
Monitoring depends on third parties we do not control — registries, registrars, DNS operators, certificate authorities, and the networks between us and your domains. Registry data may be rate-limited, stale, or unavailable; DNS answers may be cached; a single vantage point cannot distinguish every transient failure from a real outage. We work to be accurate and honest about what we observe, but we do not warrant that every state, expiry, or outage will be detected or that alerts will always be delivered. Monitoring is an aid to your own diligence, not a substitute for it.
3. Credits and billing
The service is prepaid. Monitoring consumes credits according to the check classes and intervals you configure; the applicable rates are shown in the product before you confirm them. Credits do not expire but are non-refundable except where required by law. If your balance cannot cover a monitor's renewal, that monitor pauses until you top up. Paid monitor periods are not refunded on deletion.
4. Auto-registration
If you connect a registrar account and arm auto-registration, you authorize us to instruct that registrar to register a domain on your behalf when it becomes available, up to the maximum price you set. You, not we, are the registrant — the purchase is between you and your registrar under their terms, billed to your balance with them. We are not liable for registrar failures, pricing changes, third parties registering a name first, or registrar account locks. You are responsible for keeping your registrar credentials and account in good standing.
5. Acceptable use
You may monitor any domain's public registry and DNS data. For checks that send traffic to a host — HTTP fetches and TCP port probes — you may only configure targets you own or are authorized to test, and you must keep within the intervals the product allows. You may not use the service to probe, enumerate, or stress third-party infrastructure, evade rate limits, resell access outside the client-folder feature, or violate applicable law. We may suspend accounts that generate abuse complaints or degrade the service for others.
6. Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys. Registrar credentials you store are encrypted at rest and used only to perform the registrar operations you configure. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost domains, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages — including where an alert was not generated or not delivered.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms with notice posted on this page; continued use constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the service at any time; we may suspend or terminate access for breach or abuse.
